You can rent a scooter from places like Anousay Motorbike Rental in Luang Prabang. The average cost for renting a scooter is around 150,000 KIP (Laotian Kip) per day, which is approximately $8 USD. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic drive at your own pace and gives you the flexibility to stop at various viewpoints along the way.
If riding a scooter, ride all the way up to the top where you will see the entrance to the waterfalls. If arriving with a tour, they will drop you off at the free transfer area, where a buggy will drive you to the top. It is around a 3 minute drive from the transfer area to the entrance.

To enter Kuang Si Waterfalls, there is an admission fee, which helps support the maintenance and conservation of the area. The entrance fee is around 20,000 Lao Kip (approximately $2.5 USD) and if arriving with a scooter there is a 5000 KIP parking fee (approximately $0.50 USD). We got there at around 7:45am and they let us in, usually it opens at 8:00am.

Getting there early, around 8:00am, will most likely give you the whole place to yourself, there was not one visitor on site when we got there. From the entrance we walked to the top of the hill which takes around 3-4 minutes, and from here you will see the beautiful bridge and waterfall in front of you.

The hike is not that tough, but it will get slippery along the route as the water flows down the trail. It is best to not that your footwear will get wet, hence why we opted to do it in sandals and walk up carefully. The trail is well-marked and takes you through the jungle, offering glimpses of local wildlife and fascinating flora along the way.
There is not much of a view from the top, however it is a nice place to relax and enjoy jungle vibe. If using a drone you, you are able to take a zoomed out shot from the top of the waterfall. It takes around 20 minutes to get to the top at a normal and steady pace.
